Late showing of Last Chance Harvey

My friend and I ended up seeing the movie at 10:10pm tonight. Funny thing-----we were the only ones in the theater. I really enjoyed it. You can't go wrong with Emma Thompson and Dustin Hoffman. Two superstars.

Brush With Fame: One day, back in the 80's when I worked at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, I was waiting for the elevator. The doors opened and Dustin Hoffman walked out! [He's short.] He was there researching autism for "Rain Man".

funny thing about elevators and brushing with stardom... I rode with Barry Manilow in an elevator in Florida! (He's TALL--and skinny and pale)

That is cool, although I must say I would have died if I saw Barry Manilow, because I am a FANILOW!

I rode in an elevator with Orrin Hatch ... He was very tall and skinny. We both said hello to each other. I agree with you in that I've never been disappointed with an Emma Thompson performance.

Brushing with fame!! Wow !! I knew Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. They were just so nice.
How did I know them you ask? They were classmates of mine where we grew up in Hawkinsville, Georgia but Dale was a guy and this Roy was over six feet and weighed about 250 lbs.

Enjoy your blog,
Gigi, Carla, and Barney's friend Chris' dad.

One time I was exiting a restaurant Steve Young was entering. I looked (way) up, stopped dead in my tracks, and said as dorkily as possible, "Well, Hello, STEVE YOUNG." As if he didn't know his own name...my family still makes fun of me about that one.

And I rode the elevator with Jerry Lewis once in Santa Monica, at a hotel across the street from the beach. Glad to know the movie is good, the previews looked good.

Robert & I rode the elevator with Paul Cellucci (Gov of MA at the time) at UMass Boston. A State Trooper made it 4 in the elevator.
