Are you a sewing hobbyist?

Facts, figures, and reflections (from Martha Stewart Living)

35 million: The number of SEWING HOBBYISTS in the United States, up 17 percent from 2000, per a recent study by the Home Sewing Association.

Here are a few of my favorite sewing blogs:

Because of my mandatory 7th grade sewing class at Mulholland Junior High I'm one of the 35 million sewing hobbyists!

I have a super cool sewing machine which I pull out at random times... and I DO have one quilt that I started forever long ago (20 yrs ago!): City Blocks in burgundies and creams (which I might finish if I could remember how!)... and I sewed an awning for our patio this summer, so I guess that makes ME a sewing hobbyist too! (Unless there's a requirement for how OFTEN one must sew to be included in the category. ha.)

Wow, thanks for the link Ellen! I love those big spools of cotton thread, I use them for all my quilt piecing. You also have very good taste in red fabric, true, clear red.
