Movie review

A few people have asked what I thought of Julie & Julia. I really liked it! I came home last night and found Julie Powell's blog. [I also found this more recent blog of hers.] What a great idea to make all the recipes in Julia Childs' recipe book in one year. I read this book a few years ago and this book recently for book club which made the movie even that more enjoyable.

Today I finished reading A Homemade Life which I really liked. It was filled with wonderful stories and lots of interesting recipes. I actually made the Italian grotto eggs twice this week and I might just make her chocolate cake tonight.

That's a lotta links!

The links you have for the book you read a few years ago and the one you recently read for book group are the same: Julie & Julia...Just making sure that's what you meant and I'm not missing out on another great book suggestion.
I'm glad you liked the movie...I plan on seeing it next week. It looks like a good one:)

PS. As I type I'm eating Julia Child's potato salad...YUM. The fresh parsley and bacon set it apart.

So, ellen, when are we going to start cooking through a cookbook? Which book?/blog Pioneer Woman or the one you just mentioned. I'm not sure I'd do fish... aka Julia Child. I do love her croissant recipe, however.
Do we start in September or January?
