Today is the 9th anniversary of my brother Robes' death. In his memory I had French bread, cheese, and strawberries for dinner and then went to see "Ratatouille". (He was a missionary in France--loved French bread and cheese--and was a gourmet-ish cook. I'm sure he would have enjoyed the movie.) I miss him every day.

I'm sorry, Ellen. I am really, really, sorry.
Thinking of you and your family...
How interesting that there was a Bruce Springsteen concert today in NYC (saw it on the Today Show). I'm sure it was in honor of Robes. My heart is with you. I can't believe it has been 9 years.
We love you, Ellen.
So sorry, Ellen. I know from all you've said about him, he was an incredible person who blessed so many people's lives.
In memory, I read your last year's post on this sad anniversary. Your tribute to him was so well written and touching. Thanks for sharing your experiences. It's rare that someone is so honest about the sadness of losing someone.
A message from Walton's Mountain:
I remember Ellen's brother Robby when he was 2 years old when the family moved to the valley.I watched him grow up to be a typical teenager and a lot of fun. One memory that comes back is the dance festival and he had a cast on his knee.Prior to the final night, three car loads of us went out to t.p. homes of several of our most beloved ward members. Robby and I had a blast watching from the car as we drove around. Robby I miss you. --John Boy
Thanks for sharing the photos and stories of Robes. All our love to you and the rest of Robes family at this time of year.
I miss talking sports with Robes. He is in our prayers.
I know how difficult these anniversaries can be. ::HUGS::
