

The L.A. City Schools always started school the day after Labor Day -- today! So in memory of my wonderful years at Gault Street, Mulholland Jr. High, and Birmingham High, here is a picture of my elementary school lunch box. The other lunch box was my Grandma Pitchforth's. She probably started kindergarten in Nephi, Utah 104 years ago this week!

Those are the coolest lunchboxes, Ellen! What a treasure that you still have yours, not to mention your grandma's!
Why don't they make lunch boxes like those anymore? I'd buy one!

I had a lunch box just like you...of course all the other girls had ones with pictures on them. Was being practical a family requirement??
