Giddy up!

My niece is expecting her first baby in a few weeks. [That means Chuck is going to be a Grandpa!] When I heard Rachel and Matthew were expecting a baby I decided I wanted to make a quilt. This might be my favorite quilt yet; I had trouble parting with it today but it is on its way by pony express to the wild, wild west and I hope they love this quilt half as much as I do.

Disclaimer: I hired a friend to do the lasso-looking machine quilting for me.

I have no DOUBT that the people who receive your hand made goods consider themselves to be the luckiest of people.

I know that I still have your two cards sitting on my desk. They are among the prettiest cards, if not THE prettiest, I have ever received. The "slow down" one is just clever. .. the fall leaves are to die for.

I aim to be so much more like you ... but after the house drama is over. What a trip this has been.

Sorry I have been so scarce. My thoughts have been consumed by my worries about whether or not we will have to leave our home after all of this effort to stay in it. But if we do have to move ... it will still be alright.

Maybe we will move to a new and wonderful coast?

Not likely.

Not until my older (child custody share) children are much older and out of school.

But that is only two years away now.

I remember when it was 12 years away.

I'll just enjoy the two remaining years. I'm in no hurry for them to be over.
