I really liked them. The series got my last son to read, so for that I will be grateful. The teachers say it's good to even let them read comic books. I prefer Harry Potter over comics any day. For my middle son it was Star Wars. Ick. He refused to read the HP series.
I really liked "the memory" part toward the end of the last book. I don't wnat to spoil anything for anyone. For me that was the best part and tied all the books together. We bought two books. Because neither of us wants to wait for the other to finish. I inished at 3:30 am Sunday morning. Good thing church is at 1 pm. Ster finished Sunday afternoon. My mom finished Monday. She got a late start because hers was mailed and arrived Sat. aafternoon and doesn't stay up late reading. Sensible school teacher that she is.
The are really great books about friendship and loyalty. I always end up in tears by the end because despite the bad things that happen, there is a lot of love there. I like that in a book.
I'm back! I have internet again! Harry Potter? My sister said it was the best book she had ever read and I HAD to read it. I tried Book 1 and found the first two chapters SO boring I had to quit. A year later I tried it again and read further. By chapter 3 I was hooked. Haven't missed a book release party since! I LOVE THOSE BOOKS! So what are you waiting for? If you enjoy reading read these.
I was born and raised in Van Nuys, California. I moved to Boston sight-unseen and have loved living in New England since that day when I said, "this apartment is OLD". My hobbies are antiquing, reading books and magazines (bring back Blueprint and Domino please), sewing, quilting, sightseeing, watching movies, and photography. I love the color red and have a retro red refrigerator (and kitchen aid mixer and ice cream maker and toaster and...) to prove it! I live in a converted high school and love decorating my loft condo (w/ 18 foot ceilings) that was formerly the auditorium. I have 3 brothers, 11 nieces and nephews, and a bus fleet of friends.
