We came across an antique shop in Chester, VT and I found this mini cake plate (for $8). I love cake and I love cake plates.

- I was born and raised in Van Nuys, California. I moved to Boston sight-unseen and have loved living in New England since that day when I said, "this apartment is OLD". My hobbies are antiquing, reading books and magazines (bring back Blueprint and Domino please), sewing, quilting, sightseeing, watching movies, and photography. I love the color red and have a retro red refrigerator (and kitchen aid mixer and ice cream maker and toaster and...) to prove it! I live in a converted high school and love decorating my loft condo (w/ 18 foot ceilings) that was formerly the auditorium. I have 3 brothers, 11 nieces and nephews, and a bus fleet of friends.

It looks JUST like the antique cake plate my mother-in-law used after Thanksgiving... even looks to have a slight tilt, like hers!!
Oh you make me want to visit Vermont! My fiance and I were in Maine for Thanksgiving week and I miss it already. There's just something in the air up there. Love that you miss Blue Print and Domino, I mourn them daily. My kind of gal : )

i love cake and cake plates too. i have a cake plate that's light blue glass and i absolutely love it. i can't remember where i got it, but i'd love to take it to antiques roadshow someday to find out more about it (and if it's even antique).
