It's been snowing all day...I got to leave work (a bit) early...had dinner with friends (thanks!)...the roads were very icy...drove really really slow...and now I'm home and hunkerin' down...I've got movies and hot chocolate and bread and milk...
I love this picture! That New England Machinary is pretty intense! Jim and I went driving around after one of December's big snows and I've never seen so many big machines moving down streets. Pretty impressive. You guys don't mess with the snow!
I shoveled 3 times today & the snow is still coming down. I want that cool blue plow to come plow my driveway. enjoy your movies. we went to the library today & got some movies too, & books! (don't forget the books!!!)
But we DO have rain here in Sunny So Cal today. Just no rain machine that follows the rain around, clearing the streets. And in our fridge we have six gallons of milk and on the counter we have four loaves of bread. ha. That made me laugh. See ... we aren't that different.
Tristan and I hunkered down all day in front of the fire as well. Cold weather calls for hunkering.
I was born and raised in Van Nuys, California. I moved to Boston sight-unseen and have loved living in New England since that day when I said, "this apartment is OLD". My hobbies are antiquing, reading books and magazines (bring back Blueprint and Domino please), sewing, quilting, sightseeing, watching movies, and photography. I love the color red and have a retro red refrigerator (and kitchen aid mixer and ice cream maker and toaster and...) to prove it! I live in a converted high school and love decorating my loft condo (w/ 18 foot ceilings) that was formerly the auditorium. I have 3 brothers, 11 nieces and nephews, and a bus fleet of friends.

I didn't leave work early, but it was a fast commute home. I was so happy to stay home last night though and watch the snow fall.
I love snow but I have to say I'm not sad to be missing it this time!
.... what is that thing?
heh.
