Bring on the blizzard

This is how people act when New England is expecting a blizzard (or nor'easter). I've heard we're getting anywhere from 3-12 inches of snow tomorrow. I went to the grocery store tonight for baking supplies. I have enough food in my storm bunker to last a while. I needed eggs, butter, brown sugar and peppermint flavoring. There were NO eggs and NO Land O'Lakes butter (that was on sale for $2/pound). I guess I'm not the only one planning some Snow Day Holiday Baking. I went to a second grocery store and was able to get what I needed. The kitchen is OPEN!

I totally remember you bringing me this comic when we moved to Boston--so funny, and SO TRUE! Happy baking tomorrow...

Is the post office open so you can send what you make in the kitchen to the Kunz family, oops I mean the Bigelow family, in Utah? Happy snow and baking.

I was doing the same thing last night! It really is crazy how the shelves empty out here. I got enough staples and candy for gingerbread houses for the whole family and gingerbread cookies for a zillion. Happy baking, Ellen!

I'm with Amy Duke, I couldn't believe how crowded the grocery stores were before a storm. We're experiencing a big storm that will be headed your way right now! We've already got 8 inches. I'm doing gingerbread cookies today, the fudge is done. As they like to say in the East, I'm all set!

I went to Market Basket on Thursday morning before the first big storm. I spent 25 minutes shopping (dodging old people, stopped carts, boxes, etc) and 40 minutes waiting in line for the cashier!
