I saw this "cherry jubilee" fabric at the quilt shop on Saturday and fell in love with it! I just spent 15 minutes sewing the seams and now I have a fancy new tablecloth!
Oooh..LOVE that fabric. I love how easy you make it sound to just *POOF* make a tablecloth. Do you just fold over the edge and sew it? I'm still new to the whole sewing thing...but I would love to make a cool tablecloth. I was going to try and make a nice one for a Christmas dinner party in December. Would love your tips!!
Your tablecloth is so cute! My mom wanted a fall one for her party last week so I sewed her a tablecloth out of this pumpkin fabric she got. It turned out cute too. I like projects that are quick and easy! For Heather- when I made mine, I just ironed and pinned the edges, the long side first, then sewed a 1/4 in seam, then folded over the ends and did the same thing. It only took me about 1/2 hour.
I was born and raised in Van Nuys, California. I moved to Boston sight-unseen and have loved living in New England since that day when I said, "this apartment is OLD". My hobbies are antiquing, reading books and magazines (bring back Blueprint and Domino please), sewing, quilting, sightseeing, watching movies, and photography. I love the color red and have a retro red refrigerator (and kitchen aid mixer and ice cream maker and toaster and...) to prove it! I live in a converted high school and love decorating my loft condo (w/ 18 foot ceilings) that was formerly the auditorium. I have 3 brothers, 11 nieces and nephews, and a bus fleet of friends.

It's gorgeous....and would look so awesome in a cheerful 40s kitchen!
My mom collects antique tablecloths, and yours reminds me of some of hers.
Just here via the NaBloPoMo randomizer :)
