When we're lucky, they do. Of course sometimes the comments are "I hate you",or "I hate my mother" which is one of the first notes I remember getting from Kim, as soon as she was able to form the letters. Fortunately, she has redeemed herself, for I have had many loving notes since then. (possibly, I redeemed myself, too, and became more worthy of the loving ones --I can only hope.) I must concur with alb, that you, Ellen, would definitely be a cool aunt. In fact, I had a cool aunt once, my Aunt Jane. God Bless her. Ann
My auntie Gloria was the cool one. She took us all to Goonies when it first came to theaters. I think I got a pack of Canadian Smarties...those things are good! Sometimes I really miss the great white north.
I was born and raised in Van Nuys, California. I moved to Boston sight-unseen and have loved living in New England since that day when I said, "this apartment is OLD". My hobbies are antiquing, reading books and magazines (bring back Blueprint and Domino please), sewing, quilting, sightseeing, watching movies, and photography. I love the color red and have a retro red refrigerator (and kitchen aid mixer and ice cream maker and toaster and...) to prove it! I live in a converted high school and love decorating my loft condo (w/ 18 foot ceilings) that was formerly the auditorium. I have 3 brothers, 11 nieces and nephews, and a bus fleet of friends.

Nope, only for their Aunts. I know cause I've been both. If I were a kid, I'd want a cool Aunt Ellen too.
