"Ba"

Adler calls his dad "Ba". It was so sweet to see this little bouquet of flowers with "Ba" on the ribbon. And today as they wheeled the casket out of the chapel, Adler yelled "Ba! Ba! Ba!" It was so sad. That is Adler with Dave's dad (Grandpa Chopelas) in the bottom picture. You can tell they love each other very much. Jenn is collecting memories of Dave to share with Adler throughout his life so he'll know how great his dad was and how much he loved him. Dave loved kids. One of the sweetest things is that he told Jenn once that he was so happy they had their own child because he didn't have to give him back to anyone.

What a sweet little guy. I don't know them except through your blog, but I am so sad for Jenn and Adler. What a special little family.

It was a beautiful service. I'm so happy for all the love around Jenn and Adler. His ba may be gone, but his memory will never die.

That makes my heart just break. Something about it reminds me of Kyle Duke crying during his father's funeral. So so sad.

Thanks for sharing EP, I have been thinking about Jenn and Adler and Dave. It is great to hear they have a lot of support there. I am glad it was a great day to celebrate Dave's life.

what great pictures, Ellen. You really captured the love between Adler and gpa Chops.
I'm glad Wayne was able to go with me to Dave's funeral. It was sad, but a beautiful service. The stories were inspiring. I left inspired to be a better parent.

That is so true, David loves children and he showed so much love to mine when he would watch them for me. I am so happy he was able to experience being a Father. What a beautiful child he has who is very blessed to be a part of such a loving family...my love goes out to my friends Margaret and Tim Chopelas...I love you, your in my heart...Madonna Martinez (Formerly Doyle).
