Visiting Teaching memory
I had a visiting teacher once that would bring her children with her when she visited me (that was OK). Her young daughter would go into my kitchen and snoop around (that was not OK). One time she asked if she could take a cookie home to her brother in a baggie. Another time she walked into the living room with her arm in a box of my cereal saying, "We don't have this kind at our house." I said, "well you do now".

Did you ask for a change after that??!!
That's one of my favortie Ellen stories.
Ah, this made me laugh!
I love you EP. thanks for the laugh and making my blood boil at the same time. :-)
Kids are great--when they sit with their arms folded :-)
Did the lovely mom just sit there? If so, you should have sent her out the door with the "Casserole Recipe" from that crazy VT appointment you had where the sister/new mom was baking a little something special in the oven??? Do you remember that story? Best ever...
This is just SUCH a good story. I read it out loud to Bart, it was that funny.
Ummmmm....I'm completely speechless! Maybe you should have just put out snacks at the beginning of the visit to prevent snooping?!! Or, even better, just offer to visit your visiting teacher at HER house instead!
