My Pitchforth grandparents were married on April 9, 1926 in Denver, Colorado. This is an excerpt from a tape recording of Grandma Pitchforth recording her life history in 1980: "At the University [of Utah] I was at the Park Building one day and I met Heber Byrd who wanted to introduce me to a friend of his and Lee told me later that he had paid Heber fifty cents to introduce us."
Note: this photo of Lee and Athelia Pitchforth was probably taken in the 40's or 50's.
