About Me
- ellen
- I was born and raised in Van Nuys, California. I moved to Boston sight-unseen and have loved living in New England since that day when I said, "this apartment is OLD". My hobbies are antiquing, reading books and magazines (bring back Blueprint and Domino please), sewing, quilting, sightseeing, watching movies, and photography. I love the color red and have a retro red refrigerator (and kitchen aid mixer and ice cream maker and toaster and...) to prove it! I live in a converted high school and love decorating my loft condo (w/ 18 foot ceilings) that was formerly the auditorium. I have 3 brothers, 11 nieces and nephews, and a bus fleet of friends.

I am so sorry Ellen. That is heartbreaking. Chris is so paranoid about pesticides (he won't let me even spray for ants), but after reading this, maybe he isn't so crazy after all. Your family will be in my prayers (and you!)

I just heard. My heart is breaking for their family.
i can't even imagine the pain they and their family (including you!) are going through right now. i'm still praying for them.
Ellen, what a sad, sad story. I am so sorry for you and for them.
I have thought of nothing else since Sunday, when we first heard about it. I can't imagine how hard it is for them, and how hard it will be in the coming years. Last night, Dad and I talked about my baby sister's death, 45 years ago, and my 14-month-old nephew's death, last year at this time. Nothing helps but time. And unfortunately, time goes very slow. We are praying for all of you.
The word sad doesn't even come close to how horrible this is. I am so sorry to hear that she passed away. Two children in 1 week is to hard to bear.

i can't help but cry. this is unbearable as i can totally feel the pain of what the parents must be going through. so so horrible. geeze. to loose 2 children? isn't one hard enough? so incredibly sorry Ellen! i will pray for your family. :(

This is more than tragic. I really can't imagine. I had to post a comment on the Desert News article you sent the link for. Many comments were insightful, but some were totally inappropriate. There must be angels comforting them -- God help them overcome this sad accident.
