I remember being in Salt Lake City as a kid visiting my grandparents with my brother John. Grandma Pitchforth let us call home to talk to our family. As I was telling my mom about our adventures (and maybe our shenanigans) my Grandma grabbed the phone from me and yelled to my mom "Everything's fine!"

That is very sad news. I am one of those 'Old People' and I would have swapped places with her so that she could have enjoyed the beautifu treasures of this life.

I'm so sorry Ellen - my heart hurts. Living my life in the PICU, I see this happen more than I would care to. It's so heartbreaking. I'll keep them in my prayers.
