There's a lot of love in this photo - Feb 10th
This is my friend Meg with her baby Soren. Soren was born in the Arlington Ward (who wasn't?!?) so of course I have a special place in my heart for him. When he was 4 days old he had major surgery but came through it fine and has been a healthy baby. He's celebrating his first birthday today in California where he now lives.

There's a lot of love in this photo - Feb 9th
This photo was taken in 2011 when the girls were here for the Ride. Tyler's mom (Tyler is on the left) and Adrienne's mom are sisters and Emma's dad (Emma is on the right) and Adrienne's dad are brothers. So even though Tyler and Emma aren't related to each other they are good buddies and these three make up a really fun Cousins Club.
Apron for hire
My friend asked me to make this apron for her before Christmas (it was a kit). It was really easy and I think it's super cute. I may have more aprons in my future.

Walking to the mailbox
For the last seven months I've been mailing a letter to my parents each week. My mom writes me a lot of letters (always has--one day my first semester at college I got 4 letters from her!) and I decided I needed to write them on a more consistent basis (plus every 10 months or so my dad asks for my blog address...so I know they're not addicted like some of you--ha!). Since I'm not sure the mailman will make it to my building today I walked into Lexington Center to drop this letter in a mailbox.

Kimberly and Susanna are best friends and sisters. They talk on the phone every day and are thick as thieves. Kimberly and I have known each other about ten years and I met Susanna on one of her trips to Boston a few years ago and knew immediately that she was awesome. She's one of the most clever people I know. Susanna and I have gotten to be good buddies and have "Group" together. Let me explain. Back when my brother Robes was sick and I was living with them in South Florida to help out, one of Kim's friends Sue came over every Sunday night to talk (it was really the only time that was convenient to have company). Sue would arrive at 10:00pm and usually left around 2:00am. I always made a dessert and we called it "Group". We sat in the living room and talked and talked and talked. Susanna and I sometimes have Sunday night Group but of course by phone since she lives in Spokane.
First flakes
It's blizzard day in Boston! I've heard we're getting lots of snow -- one foot, two feet, three feet, someone even said five feet (no way)! I've got milk, bread, Dr. Pepper, lots of movies and plenty of projects in hopes of a productive snow weekend. I've already had one nap. So far, so good.
Note: I bought this nifty Valentine garland from Morgan Moore.

Due any day
Saralynn is expecting #3 any day. She has a girl and a boy and this baby is another boy. She's filling up her minivan!

This is my friend Janae holding her baby girl Ruby on her blessing day (8 years ago). Ruby has three older brothers (and a younger brother). She's a very loved little girl.

Being productive and how a stain saved me $20
I feel like I'm out of my post-vacation(s) slump and finally getting things done. Last night I finished a photo card order and did some sewing (cloth napkins for wedding gifts and burp cloths for new babies). It felt good to be productive. I also did three loads of laundry. I had a stain on one of my skirts and when I reached in the bin to get the stain removal I found the West Side Story DVD that I borrowed from the library December 3rd!!! Yeah! It must have fallen into the bin when I stashed the stack of DVDs in the closet. The library was nice enough to renew and renew and renew it for me (I hadn't even watched it) and I figured I'd find it because a) I live alone so nobody is moving my stuff around and b) 99% of the time I find the things that I lose. So happily I won't have to pay the $20 to replace the DVD.

Lucky for me I got to spend time with the Jersey Ures on both ends of my road trip. I took all these photos on December 23rd and purposely took some of Lisa with each of her girls so I could make this collage which I gave them on my way home. Lisa is an amazing mother and there is a boatload of love in their home.
