Creative compassionate service

A few weeks ago I was asked if I could take a meal to a family with a new baby.  I said I couldn't.  I barely feed myself and I work full time so it isn't an easy thing for me to do.  Instead I offered to go over one night to be an extra set of hands.  My friend Rachael accepted my offer.  Her parents are in China and her mother-in-law left today after being here three weeks and I went over tonight while her husband took one of the kids to music class.  I cleared the table, loaded the dishwasher, colored with a kindergartner and held the new baby.  Oh, and Finley and I played Uno!
