EP advice

Get a transponder.  You can use it on the MassPike and up (Maine) and down (New Jersey) the east coast and you don't have to worry about having toll money.  When I finally realized it would be a good thing to do it cost me $20.  Now the transponders are free.

I didn't realize those were free (only cost the amount a toll would each time) until we had already lived in Boston more than three years. I was so sad I didn't know earlier as it made life so much easier after we ordered ours!
