EP advice

If I had a son/daughter serving a LDS mission this is what I would do.  I would leave an envelope on the counter or table each week and ask every family member to draw a picture, write a short note or long letter and mail an envelope directly to the mission address (through the Post Office with real stamps).

EP advice: take it or leave it.

Real mail is so much more exciting. I like your idea. I'm afraid if I left it up to people, I would be chasing them around at the end of the week with an empty envelope saying, "You need to get this done now!"

Having said that, I'm nearly the only person in my family that actually posts on the family blog for my missionary parents. Boo I say!

Love the idea....nothing better than real mail!
One of the Elders in our ward said he wishes his parents would spend the 40 cents and send him a letter, it broke my heart.
My kids and I are currently addressing a letter to a missionary as I type this...a hand written letter he will get from the mail man.
Love it!

This is a great idea! In fact, we do this now with Thank You notes that need to get sent. I bought a bunch of beautiful cards on thick paper that I love using and then set them on our living room table for everyone to sign. It works like a charm.
