- I was born and raised in Van Nuys, California. I moved to Boston sight-unseen and have loved living in New England since that day when I said, "this apartment is OLD". My hobbies are antiquing, reading books and magazines (bring back Blueprint and Domino please), sewing, quilting, sightseeing, watching movies, and photography. I love the color red and have a retro red refrigerator (and kitchen aid mixer and ice cream maker and toaster and...) to prove it! I live in a converted high school and love decorating my loft condo (w/ 18 foot ceilings) that was formerly the auditorium. I have 3 brothers, 11 nieces and nephews, and a bus fleet of friends.

There was a shortage a year or two ago as well. I need to learn to stock up more. Love the picture, I'm excited for fall!
Isn't that funny!? My sister just tried to find canned pumpkin in Utah to make my other sister's birthday pie. She couldn't find any, so made a pie out of butternut squash - and they all said they liked it better than pumpkin! Now I have it on my list to try making pie out of butternut squash:)
Love the pumpkin photo!!!!!! And yes, I am frustrated at the canned pumpkin shortage. I bought a few cans a month ago and wish I had purchased more when I saw them.
I heard there will be a "real" pumpkin shortage, too. We picked one up at the grocery store this afternoon.

I have to stock up for Conor's birthday next year. Pumpkins are on strike......
tell me about it. i searched every where when i was in boston. finally i looked again at M.B. even though the employee said it was seasonal and that they did not have it in stock I found it. so i guess don't always believe the employees. it is there, just in a weird spot.
i have never had a problem finding pumpkin in idaho, just sayin'.
What fun-looking pumpkins! I miss going pumpkin shopping in MA!
