Kate Harrison Getzschman: 1977-2016

My friend Kate passed away this morning in LA from cancer.  I met her 20 years ago when she was a teenager and visiting her sisters who lived in my ward.  She's one of my most talented, loving, and funny friends.  I feel lucky that I got to see her here in October.  And that she enjoyed some cookies I sent to her recently.  I'm heartbroken for her family; especially her husband and two young daughters.  #andimtiredofyoungpeopledyingfromcancer

Wreath Making Party

These two lovely couples moved to Boston 21 years ago for grad school.  They both had kids here while finishing PhD's and made many contributions to the Arlington Ward.  The Corcorans live in Logan and the Petersons are moving to Salt Lake City.  #arlingtonwardfriendsareforever

I'm going through boxes my dad has sent me with lots of dishes and silver and books and commemorative Coke bottles and treasures beyond measure including a bazillion styrofoam packing peanuts that are going everywhere.  So I bake.  Thanks for sharing this recipe @everydayreading.  Who wants a double chocolate muffin?  I don't need ten.  And does anyone collect bottles?  Because we all know I'm not going the Craigslist route.
