Feeding the missionaries

I haven't had the missionaries over for dinner in years.  Since I'm single I have to have additional people over in order to have them over and I refuse to feed an "entourage".  I know--bad attitude (because I have lots of groups of people over).  Anyway, my cousin Darlene taught seminary and piano to Elder Clarke so I told him I'd make an exception and tonight I had 3 people over plus the Elders.  #iamamormonwithanattitude

P.S.  Never fear--every few months I give them baked goods at church.

Angel Food Cake

I bought a new phone and needed a case and screen protector for it.  One of the IT guys at work tipped me off that MicroCenter will match Amazon prices.  It was worth the hassle to get there tonight.  The case was $22.99 and the screen protector was $9.99.  I saved $37.00!  #bam #ipaidfullpriceforthepepsi

Carrie Hill is in the house

Like I said...lots of AW alums visit in the summer.  Carrie (LaPierre) Hill is visiting with her family (she has 7 kids!).  I've known her since she was a kid and can't even count how many movies I saw and outings I went on with Carrie and her twin Lisa...including the Hill Cumorah Pageant and NYC (where we got separated on the subway--a story for a TBT).  Carrie is a gem and I loved reconnecting with her tonight and seeing 5/7 of her kids.  #arlingtonwardfriendsareforever #awalumsummervisitors2017 #plumislandsunburn

Our ward choir is amazing.  #amirightoramiright Today they teamed up with the Belmont 2nd Ward choir and sang Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.  It was so beautiful.  This violin (or is it a viola?) belongs to one of the deacons in our ward.  I am always inspired by the music in our ward.  #arlingtonwardchoirmusicalnumbersareforever
