Collier Strong

Today was the one year anniversary memorial of Officer Sean Collier's death.  Everyone quietly clapped as the police officers entered the tent.  It was an emotional service.  I loved hearing the stories about Sean and what an amazing person he was.  #MITSTRONG #COLLIERSTRONG

Boston Strong in the Portland Airport

I snuck this photo in the Portland Airport.  Turns out this couple was on my flight and then I saw them on the Silver Line.  I asked if they were running the Marathon on Monday; they are.  They ran last year--she finished 43 seconds before the first bomb went off and he was a mile behind her.  She started running at age 34 and has run 52 marathons!  He started running at age 50!  They were a really nice couple from Vancouver, WA.  I'll be cheering for them on Monday.

I am now President Emerita of the Arlington Ward Relief Society after 4 years, 10 months and 1 week.  It was a good run.  I served with amazing women and had countless wonderful experiences.  #ilovereliefsociety

Tonight's R.S. Recipe Swap theme was cake decorating.  Thanks to Tammy and Anika for baking all these cakes, making the frosting, and showing us how to decorate awesome cakes.  Mine didn't look that great but it tasted good!

I watched the second session of General Conference with the Petersons while we did our craft & treat.  We made puppets that Judianne will take to Fiji when she visits her parents on their mission and we made these little chocolate/coconut nests with those addictive Cadbury mini eggs.  We always have a good time when we get together.

Intense movie

I watched "Gravity" tonight.  Whoa.  It was intense.  After an hour I took a little break (my palms were sweaty!) and then finished it.

My favorite Sandra Bullock line from the movie:  "I hate space."
