YW Girls Camp Fundraiser

We had a very successful and lucrative YW Girls Camp fundraiser tonight.  We sold ice cream sundaes with ice cream from Kimball Farm and had an auction.  Cami Jones was a fantastic auctioneer!  We had a great turnout and people were extremely generous.  I'm exhausted but so pleased with how it went.  #arlingtonwardyoungwomen #arlingtonwardfriendsaregenerous #youngwomen #weareicecreameatingmormons

GetFit@MIT is over and our team THE MATT DAMON DIET (I wonder who thought of that name?!?) was the Grand Champion Team!  We were chosen randomly and we each get a $100 Amazon gift card.  And next week we will do a group photo wearing our green t-shirts.  We're trying to get a cardboard cutout of Matt Damon for our photo.  #MIT

My latest quilt project

I decided that when I got released from being the Relief Society President I was going to make myself a quilt--to prove that I had more free time.  It's been over two years (and it has been on my to-do list every single day!) and I FINALLY started it tonight!  I'm using fabric from @thimbleblossoms and a pattern from a quilt I saw on the wall at Just Sew in Highland, UT last August.  I'm really motivated to finish it and I'll tell you why soon.  #ilovequilts #ilovetosew #21squaresdone98togo

The moon

I just walked into Lexington Center to return some library books (and get exercise minutes for GetFit@MIT) and passed a woman walking a dog.  I was slightly annoyed because her dog was getting close to me when she happily said, "Did you see the moon?!?"  I quickly said, "Yep" and kept walking.  A few minutes later I remembered that my mom loved the moon and often asked me (over the phone and in person) if I had seen the moon.  #pattonmemories
