New Year's Eve

It took 20 minutes of calling to get through to my favorite Chinese restaurant and then a 45 minute wait. There were at 30 least take out bags ready when I picked up my food.

Emma's first movie in the theater

I was invited to join Emma and her mom at the Capitol Theater to watch "Frozen" today.  Emma enjoyed her first movie theater experience and the movie was great.  One of my favorite things about Emma is she calls me "President Patton".

Getting things done

I'm crossing things off my to-do list while on vacation.  Today I vacuumed out my car which was muy overdue.

I met the newest baby in the ward today; Marin (like Marin County in California).  She's beautiful.  It was nice to have Christmas dinner with her parents and grandparents.

Christmas day

On my way to Christmas dinner with friends I approached an intersection near the Alewife subway station and recognized a homeless man that I've seen there before.  My light was red.  I had some bags of a chex mix treats (aka "Christmas crack") with me that I was planning to deliver to friends after dinner and quickly got a $5 bill out of my wallet and one of the bags, put my car in park and got out and left the money and treat for him.  He noticed me from across the street and yelled "thank you" and crossed the street.  I rolled my window down to hear him thank me again and say, "I love that stuff."  It was a nice Christmas moment.
