Conor went apple picking for a special birthday outing with our neighbors --- I told him that we needed to make apple pie. He said, "The only problem is that the only pie I like is PUMPKIN." It made me laugh. Your apple pie looked divine.
Apple pie is a tradition of "Grandma" at Thanksgiving and Christmas for us. It looks like you definitely know how to bake a pie. Grandmas secrets were dots of butter on top of the apple filling before you put the crust on top and then lightly spread milk on top of the crust and sprinkle with sugar. The milk makes your crust brown nicely. She shredded the apples in the filling too. We love apple pie.
