Jared & Joel
Friday night I asked my friend Lisa if I could take some photos of her boys after church so here are a few of my favorites.

Spring + EP
I asked my friend to take my photo today. Not sure why except that I'm always behind the camera. And maybe I wanted to show off my favorite creamsicle soft serve ice cream.
GET OUTSIDE -- it's a beautiful Spring day!
My friend and I went for a drive this morning. We stopped at Verrill Farm (I bought some sourdough bread--yum), Dairy Joy for ice cream and Costco for hot dogs. It's a beautiful Spring day. My favorite.

I love Sonic!
I had dinner tonight with friends at Sonic. I got a large cherry limeade and it hit the spot (I hadn't had any soda in 10 days -- ahhhhh!).
A few years ago my friends and I drove to the closest Sonic. In Kingston, NY! Now there's one only miles from me.

My last event of the semester
I'm in charge some events at work and three of them were in the last week plus I volunteered at the memorial service for Sean Collier. Yesterday was the last event and I'm relieved since work is going to be busier for a little while. Yesterday's lunch was delicious and everyone enjoyed being outside on the balcony of the Media Lab before the lunch on a beautiful day.

Crewsing into Spring
If you don't live in Boston you don't get why Spring is such a big deal. We wait a long time for it and some years it doesn't last very long so we enjoy every Spring day we get.

Memorial Service at MIT

Just got back from the memorial service for Officer Sean Collier. Thousands of police officers, V.P. Biden, James Taylor and a helicopter flyover. It was a wonderful tribute to an outstanding guy.

Happy Birthday, Chuck!
I remember Chuck's 2nd birthday like it was yesterday. I also remember the day "baby Charlie" came home from the hospital like it was today. My parents pulled the car into the driveway and I remember running around to the passenger side of the car to get the first look at my new baby brother. Robert was 6, I was 5, and John was 4 -- we were old enough to be excited and proud to have a baby brother (obviously I don't remember anything when I was 19 months old and John was born and Robert didn't remember squat when he was 13 months old and they brought me home). For some reason Robert and I argued over which one of us saw Charles first, but I know I got the first look at him.
My mom wrote this on the back of the photo: Charles Patton's "informal" 2nd birthday celebration - a family outdoor supper!!

Goodbye again
My friends the Jorgensens are days away from finishing their second 6-month mission at the Boston Temple. They have made amazing contributions to our ward and have touched many lives in the Boston area. They are potato farmers from Washington State and are solid, down-to-earth, good people. They will be missed.
Is that a halo? I think it is.
Goodbye again, wonderful Jorgensens.
