The Boss

Tonight I was on the field at Fenway Park for the Bruce Springsteen concert.  Bruce is still The Boss.  He's an amazing performer.  I think this was my 8th Springsteen concert.  It rained the last hour and no one cared.  I've been to two Sprinsteen concerts since Robes' death and my tradition is I buy a keychain and bury it near Robes' grave.  I bought another one last night.  We love Bruce because Robes first loved Bruce.

I was sad to see her go but smiled when I read a card she tucked in my purse.  We made some fun memories and a skirt, watched Jaws, Rocky, Hitch, and the Bourne Legacy, and ate some of our favorite foods (chocolate croissants, McDonald's southwest chicken salads, and cream cheese brownies).  I love that she loves my condo and Boston so much, that she enjoys doing my laundry, and I love being her aunt.

Adrienne and I were on a drive this afternoon and we passed this wooden fence and wildflowers that captured my eye.  I kept driving and then pulled over and turned around and took some photos.  No photographic regrets.

I love macaroni salad.  Always have, always will.  I thought my very favorite was at Phillipe's (it was on my list of things on my recent trip to LA).  It was until I made this recipe.  Um, YUM.

Matching sweaters

I overheard someone talking about matching sweaters the other day and it reminded me that I had this photo stashed away.  The sweaters were a Christmas gift from our Patton grandparents.  I can't remember where I got my dress that doesn't match the sweaters.  Robert looks like he could have been one of "My Three Sons".  John is Mr. Serious.  And Chuck is hoping this photo never shows up on a famous blog someday (oops!).

They're everywhere: next to my bed, by my computer, in my desk at work, on a table downstairs, shoved into a corner of my purse.  I can't read very well without them.  My favorite pair snapped in half this week so I bought a new stylish pair.  Now I can get back to my book.
