We didn't get a birthday party every year...

...but when we did they were memorable! Step aside Martha Stewart--Nan Patton had us decorating paper plates and making hats long before the arrival of your magazines filled with nifty birthday party ideas!

A brown lunch sack made a perfectly respectable "goodie bag" back-in-the-day!
