Everyone needs a cousin Peggy

This is Peggy,  my friend Judy's cousin who lives in Utah.  She has been by Judy's side for days and is an angel.

September 28th

This photo was taken the day Robes entered the MTC (he served in the Brussels Belgium Mission).  Twenty years later to the day on September 28th he died from brain cancer.  Today is the anniversary of that sad day.  I miss him every day.  I especially miss seeing him with Kim, Ian, Jamel and Adrienne.  I even miss him making fun of me.  #familiesareforever #pattonmemories #imademydress #notsurewhattohashtagaboutmyhair

Red Vines for Robes

My YW presidency meeting got over too late to get to the store to buy Red Vines to eat in honor of Robes today; he loved them.  Good thing I had an opened semi-stale bag tucked away.  Best before 05/10/15.  #missyoubigbrother #pattonmemories

SIX Deacons

I'm pretty sure today was the first time SIX Deacons passed the sacrament in the Arlington Ward.  This is a big day!  #arlingtonwardyouthareawesome #arlingtonwardfriendsareforever

Peach Cobbler

The last thing I need is a treat but the peaches were finally ripe and it's been a sad day.  So hello peach cobbler.  Added note: it's delicious as usual.  Recipe from the Better Homes & Garden red/white checked recipe book.  #stillgriefeating #ilovePyrex

The Hardys are in town!

They brought their youngest (of 5) Beth.  It was fun to have dinner and dessert with them.  #Kimballs #arlingtonwardfriendsareforever

YW Activity

The young women made pumpkins out of paperback books tonight.  They turned out super cute but the girls all agreed they would never make another one.  #arlingtonwardyoungwomen

I delivered the doll.  EMT isn't so sure about her birthday present.  #maybesheismaditsamonthlate

Is this really necessary? Don't answer...

Pioneer Woman has dishes!

Pioneer Woman and I started blogging the same month.  Where is my Marlboro Man?  And when will my face be all over Walmart?  #jealous

Susan Hockfield portrait

Tonight I attended the reception for the unveiling of President Hockfield's portrait at Gray House.  It's a beautiful painting.  #MIT

MGH

No relation (we're "on").  I visited a friend tonight for a few minutes.  If you have to be in the hospital with crappy cancer, the Lunder Building is extremely nice.  #arlingtonwardfriendsareforever

Swing Low, Sweet Chariot

I gave him some money so felt OK taking his photo and he nodded at me so we're cool.  #streetphotography #Bostonlife #iplayedtheclarinetinjuniorhighandhighschool

My favorite find from Brimfield

I now own this mustard dresser and I love it.  The bottom half is at Whitcomb Storage in Lunenburg but I'll get it soon.  #noBrimfieldregrets

Brimfield Fair

I love the Brimfield Fair.  I don't love the traffic (read: horrific).  I met up with friends in Lunenburg and it should have taken us less than an hour to get there and it took three hours.  But once we got there, it was great (hot, but great).  I never leave Brimfield empty handed (that pink Pyrex bowl is now mine).
