It's Halloween

I saw this cute little pumpkin on the subway this morning.  Happy Halloween!

TBT: pixie haircut

One time when I was in the chair getting my pixie haircut at the Merry Go Round salon, the girl next to me said she wanted her hair like mine. When the woman was done cutting the girl's hair she turned the chair around and the girl looked in the mirror and started to cry. The girl wanted my hair color not the cut.

Hsieh blessing day

My friends' twins were blessed today in the Chinese group (Jerry is the Group Leader).  It was a really sweet experience to be there.  The twins have awesome parents and Jerry and Aimee have awesome twins.  And I'm the awesome fake aunt.

New calling: YW

Today I have a new calling--I am a counselor in the Young Women (Beehives!).  I am very excited.  This is what I want to teach them.  #youngwomen #iamamormon

Paul's birthday

I went to Paul's 70th birthday party tonight.  It was a night of memories and music and delicious food.  I have known the Dredges since I moved to Boston and they are amazing.  The day Paul was sustained as the Arlington Ward bishop I said to him "I've always wanted Paul Dredge to be my bishop."  He gave me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.  Then about six months later he called me to be the RSP.  It was a pleasure and a blessing to serve with him.  He's a good old friend.  #arlingtonwardfriendsareforever

TBT: Are you adopted?

At a party the night before my brother got married, my almost sister-in-law's aunt asked me if we were adopted.  I had never been asked that before and asked her why she thought that.  She said it was because we called our parents by their first names.  I said, "look at us!  We all look so much alike!"  #bobandnan #pattonmemories

Extra set of hands

I was helping another friend tonight that has 5 kids (one is a newborn).  She told this little guy Crew that I was going to read him a story and he said, "She doesn't know how to read."  #kidssaythefunniestthings #arlingtonwardfriendsareforever

Found: chocolate chips

I went to make this recipe tonight and only had about a cup of chocolate chips.  I started digging around the chocolate drawer in my refrigerator (the one you probably use for vegetables) and found this BIG bag.  All is well, all is well.

P.S.  The cookies are delicious.

Tufts football #71 - aka #kyledukefanclub

New England fall

I've been itching to go on a drive since the fall is going to be gone before we know it.  I love rambling around New England so that's what I did today after taking family photos and before the football game.   I feel so lucky to live in this part of the country; it's so beautiful.

And my favorite

These sisters have a beautiful friendship.

the Jackson girls

I warned Rachel...

…that I was going to take a few photos of her with her girls.  And I'm glad I did.  I hope she frames this one for her husband's desk at work.

I know this photo is blurry but I love it

Oh, Beacon Hill

There's a lot of love in this photo

Adler is crazy about his Chopelas grandparents and they are crazy about him.

Chopelas family photos

Jenn and Adler live in Oklahoma now (sad!) but are in town this weekend and she asked if I'd take their family photos on Acorn Street.  I think this one is my fave.

Big towing morning on Beacon Hill
