Elder Beutler

He's quiet, reflective, inspiring, bright, prepared, and ready to serve a mission in Dallas, Texas.  Farewell Elder Beutler!

He loves his grandkids

When people ask where to see Fall foliage...

...I always say the leaves on your own street are beautiful.

The proof is in this picture taken this morning on Mass. Ave. in Lexington.

One of my favorite things...

...is going to dinner with a favorite friend.  And dessert at Cracker Barrel is the icing on the cake.

There were never such devoted sisters

Having all three Beecher girls in one location?  That's called awesome.

Photos of new baby before moving

A friend asked if I'd photograph their new baby amidst some chaos as they are packing up and getting ready to move.  Of course!  Their 4 girls are adorable and it was fun to CHASE them around and catch lots of candids.

Nathan's in town

He belongs to them.

Support Morgan!

My friend Morgan Moore is trying to start a cooking show and is looking for support.  I just made a contribution (check out the things you get according to what level you pledge!) and hope her dream comes true (she's 30% funded as of today)!  She's so cool and I'd be the first to watch her cooking show!  I've tried some of the recipes on her blog -- yum!

I met Morgan in LA back in January.  And the Moores came over for dinner in July.

Click HERE to watch her video and find out more about her dream or make a pledge.  Thank you.

Emmett is 2!

I went to see Emmett after work today and gave him what I like to give two year olds for their birthday: a $2 bill.  Emmett started scooting towards the door holding his $2 bill out.  He knows he can use it in a vending machineHappy Birthday to you, Emmett.  You're one of the coolest kids ever.

Almost sunset in Rhode Island

This kid is cute!

The Ball family is back

They left Boston 6 years ago with 2 kids and a dental degree and have been in DC, Okinawa and Seattle.  They are now Rhode Island residents for 3 years (and Randy does root canals).  I drove down with a friend to see them today and it was such a blast watching their 4 boys in action and catching up.  I'm glad they're back in New England.

My friend Sarah

I visited my friend Sarah the other day, whilst I was on vacation, and she gave me a tour of her husband's home office.  Saturday, at the Clambake, I said to Sarah, "Hey Sarah--Jamie needs a picture of YOU in his office!"  So I took some photos of her at the beach and this is my favorite.  Last night I delivered a 5x7 of this photo to Jamie.  For that office.

Funeral meal

PART OF MY CHURCH JOB is to make arrangements for the meal served after a funeral.  This afternoon was Marc Butler's funeral and the meal was perfect (fruit, vegetables, hummus and pita bread, tuna sandwiches, chips, cheese and crackers, cookies, and water). Marc's family was pleased with the spread and I was pleased to have good helpers.  The only downside was when I cut my thumb with a knife while I was cutting the cheese (literally).
